I found this gem from Eater NY's best pie shops in NYC. It was freezing outside ready to rain and we ran inside. It was so warm and smelt of freshly baked pies and cake. We were there for some fantastic pies but I spotted their cherry cheesecake and I could not resist. They had a really nice selection of pies that you can buy by the slice. We got the apple pie.

Ok the cheesecake. Oh my god. OH MY GOD. Absolutely mind blowing. A much firmer and crunchier base, but the filling was mega creamy and smooth and light. The sour cherry was brilliant to cut through the richness. This was just unbelievably delicious. Definitely one of the best things we've eaten on this trip. I think I slightly liked this more than Eileen's too.

The pie oh man. The apple was so sweet and loaded with spices and flavour. The texture of the apples were perfect, not soggy or anything at all. The pastry was golden and crisp and crumbly. Just brilliant. I loved the suggary crusted top as well. It was pretty rich was still fantastic.
