Also on Eater NY's best pie list was Petee's Pie Company. They had a huge range of pies that you can buy by the slice. We went for the blueberry pie and the sour cherry pie. They were SO FRESH. The blueberry was like just eating fresh blueberries. They were hardly messed with, only slightly sweetened but were still quite tart and fresh. THE PASTRY THO. Wow. So crumbly and flakey and way better than any pie crust I've had. It was a bit short like a biscuit but was utterly perfect for this type of filling. I would have loved some icecream to go with this.

This was the sour cherry pie. I think I preferred this one because I loved the sour taste more than the tart blueberries. The same perfect pastry and fresh fresh sour cherries inside. The best bit is right at the end where the crust ends. It's just the best. Loved this.
