I have been completely obsessed with Christina Tossi ever since watching her "Chef's Table: Pastry" episode on Netflix. She has been a baker idol to me and I can not emphasise how excited I was to try her desserts. I got a slice of the Birthday Cake. I was honestly shocked how good this was even though my expectations were so high. My god the frosting was out of this world. It was the lightest airiest magic frosting. There was crunchy texture between the layers that gave some really nice contrast. It wasn't overly sweet at all. The frosting was slightly lemonly and cut through the sweetness. The cake was moist and fluffy. Honestly so good.
